I bet you could solve any problem in your business (staffing, equipment, business location) if you had a few high dollar sales come your way.
It all starts with that amazing lead generator. So let’s figure out how to get the ball rolling right now.
Step #1) Review your current marketing
The quickest way to put more money in your pocket is to review your current marketing. The way you do this is to give a sheet of paper to the person that answers the phone for you in your business (it may be you). Rule a number of vertical lines on the paper.
From Monday morning 9am to Friday 5pm, ask every person who calls your business (or the person who answers the phone) – "Oh (person’s name), how did you find out about us?"
That person will respond with something like “I saw your advert in the paper”, or, “I saw your Yellow Pages advert”, or, “I called your number on your web site”, "I was referred by Bob Smith", etc. Write the source of the lead at the top of one of the columns and tally each enquiry. If you do this for one week, you’ll soon know what’s working for you and what’s not.
We had one of our clients – a law firm, do this and we discovered that the internet was their best source of leads, so we set out to improve their internet marketing to bring in even more leads.
