Is Your Website SEO Company Really Achieving Any Results for You?

Getting “free” traffic to your website from potential customers is certainly a good marketing strategy. In my previous post I mentioned the now very high cost of Google PPC advertising (pay per click).

The reality is that it’s costing between $4 to $18 for a click to your website from Google Adwords (cost depends on the competition in your industry), with conversion to an enquiry ranging from 1% to 8%. For most businesses it costs $30 to $200 to get ONE enquiry from online advertising.

So it makes sense that if you can get clicks and enquiries from having your website higher in the natural (organic) you’ll save thousands of dollars in advertising costs.

Okay – you probably know this already, and have hired a SEO company to work on your website rankings. And sure, they’ll be sending you reports on how good a marketing job they are doing for you.

BUT, are they really???

I did a bit of research and tried a few ranking tools before eventually coming across SE Ranking (www.seranking.com). It’s a cloud based service.

For around $57 for 1 year, you can enter more than one website and a total of 50 keywords (more if you want). Plus they have lots of other cool reports as well. You can use this service to CHECK UP on your rankings and see if your SEO company is really doing anything for you.

Now I don’t make any commission, etc from recommending them. I was looking for this type of service where I didn’t have to install any software on my computer. SE Ranking have a 14 day trial so give them a go – which I did before making choosing a paid plan.

P.S. I figured out how to save 60%. I chose the weekly reporting and the annual option, so instead of paying $96 I only paid $57.

P.P.S. I originally wrote this post in 2014, and now it’s 2019. I have using SE Ranking for five years now. It’s been a good service and they have been adding a bunch of new features over time including link reports, etc.
