If you’ve been in business for a while – you know it costs money to get customers, whether it’s providing excellent customer service to get referrals, or advertising, or paying for a good retail location, or spending money on business-to-business marketing (B2B).
One sin that every business owner makes, including myself, is not following up on prospects for long enough.
I know the reasons are 1) Not having a prospect reminder system 2) Not having an automated marketing follow-up system.
I’m my case I have 1 and 2 sorted – but I only had 6 months of following up marketing, which I’m now expanding to 12 months and then 18 months. (if you’d like to know what automated follow-up systems I’m using – drop me a line.)
Here is an excellent article by R.Robbins about her own sales as a result of following up, even with prospects after ‘years’ and also a real-estate agent’s results.
